In the last couple of years, smartphone manufacturers have been facing serious problems with the supply chain, which makes the production process difficult. Η Samsung, however, it seems to have had the opposite problem. Great offer.

According to The Elec, the company currently has nearly 50 million smartphone units unsold in distributor stock. This amount equates to almost 20% of the brand's annual smartphone shipment target!

Most of the unsold inventory is believed to be the budget and mid-range Galaxy A. The rest is likely to consist of high-end Galaxy S and Galaxy Z devices such as the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy Z Flip 3.

Okay, obviously a company like Samsung will have millions of unsold models in its stock, but that number is twice as many as it typically expects to have in a calendar year.

Despite the fact that Samsung did not miscalculate the market, the second half of 2022 could still be strong for the company thanks to its revised production targets and the arrival of new Galaxy Z models.
